Vernon Peasenell
Vernon Peasenell is a man of many artistic talents, including sculpting, painting, and printmaking. He lives and works out of his studio and gallery in Roseville, California. Peasenell considers himself a "second generation" abstract-expressionist. At a young age, he was influenced by the abstract-expressionists at the Carnegie Museum in Pittsburg. Peasenell has channeled this initial influence into an unforgettable style incorporating bold colors and shapes along with deeply spiritual themes. The inspiration for much of Peasenell's work comes from his family. His experience as a care-giver for his aging parents is the genesis of much of his recent work, including his critically acclaimed "Making Time" series. Peasenell was born and raised in Pennsylvania, and holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in fine arts. His work has received numerous awards, and has been widely exhibited in public and private shows.
