Ashley Bennett-Stoddard
Ashley Bennett-Stoddard has been deeply involved with art her entire life. She is the daughter of the late, world-renowned sculptor Bob Bennett. Growing up in the Placerville home of her father, Bennett-Stoddard was exposed to art throughout her childhood. After high school, she attended the Academy of Art in San Francisco. Bennett-Stoddard is currently involved in Placerville's Bennett Gallery with other members of her family. Bennett-Stoddard inherited her father's artistic talent and strong feel for lines and design. She has combined this with an incredible sense of color and shape to create her own unique, unmistakable style. Since her father's death, she has become even more determined to carry on the family legacy. She lives and works out of her home in the Sierra foothills of Sierra Foothills of California. In addition to Bennett Gallery, her work is exhibited in galleries and private collections throughout the country.
"Painting is my safety net. It sets me free. Uncertain of what I will paint, each painting is an adventure. My pallet is unique to the subjects I breathe. My brush is guided by my heart, my soul, my Creator and I am blessed in the comfort of my style. Always eager for the next adventure, painting is the air I breathe, and sculpture is where I rest."
